To MTL: Mario Ferraro $1 000 000
To BUF: Tobias Björnfot Jack Rathbone (p) LAK 1 2020
Once again Im overpaying to save time. Rathbone will be Ferraro in one-two years, Björnfot and the 28th pick in the first round will make pro in two-three years, while Ferraro is ready to move when called upon. The mill will help me create prospects for free.
Thanks for fast and good negotiations Thomas!

Sabres agree - this was a TOUGH deal to make as I'm super high on Ferraro and what he's going to be doing in short order. I had planned to farm him to get him more than ready for the pros next year, but Lennart was persistent, and I feel like I get more than enough in value here to pull the trigger.
Bjornfot and Rathbone are both exciting prospects and while it may take a little longer to get them pro-ready, we're confident they will both become very useful players for us. Plus the 28th overall pick gives us three in the first round now, and that helped seal the deal for yours truly.
Great talks as usual sir!

Two is obviously one too many Swedes to keep track of. But as long as youdon’t put Ferraro on Mathias’ team I wont complain.
Lennart, the other Swede 😎

While this trade was actioned, it is under league review and may be subject to being rescinded after the review

How long do we have to object to a trade? This one doesn’t seem reasonable to me and I would like the chance to object.

NYR and I discussed this over Slack and addressed his concerns - the deal is going ahead. I'm just going to put a bow on this deal. The only reason it was flagged was that it involved me and we wanted to review the last two deals from Lennart (as combined, they definitely deserved a review). GM's can voice their opinions on deals, and obviously, we appreciate everyone's thoughts on the general health of the league. However, trades are almost always objective to those not involved in a deal - this is why we ask for reasoning on EVERY trade. Unless the reasoning is lacking or it's apparent the deal was done in a detrimental way, GM's have latitude to make deals largely as they see fit. I am overly cautious about the deals I make. I always look at them from a commish's point of view before I post them. There have been a lot of trades thus far that I would say were "not great", but went through because the GM's in this league have the trust of the commissioners to do so. Until there is reason to question that trust, there are usually no issues. Reviews are usually quick, usually rare, and don't mean a deal is automatically going to be rescinded. We'd just ask everyone to trust our judgment - hold us to account for sure, but know that we're always going to put the health of the league over us every day of the week. Thank yas.
