To Nashville
Jacob Markstrom Calle Jarnkrok Artem Anisimov Brian Dumoulin
To San Jose
John Gibson Greg Pateryn Robby Fabbri Tyson Foerster BUF 3rd 2022 Nick Schneider
So there's a lot going on here so... First, Markstrom has not been performing as he should with his current ratings. Gibson is younger and is performing on a similar level right now. If the change of scenery works for Markstrom, Nashville is happy.
Dumoulin is an UFA to be, Pateryn will be replacing him in the lineup for the next two years. Yes, it's a downgrade, but he would have walked and the rest of the deal should make up for this.
Now, Jarnkrok and Anisimov are both over 30, very capable regular players signed cheap for the foreseeable future. Fabbri is struggling this year but still quite young, so we'll try and turn him around. We're getting a top prospect in Foerster, which is something we don't have quite enough right now. Schneider will be a depth piece and we get a pick.
We're trying to get younger, and we feel the addition of Gibson, Fabbri, Foerster and a pick help us do that.

Nashville agrees, the Preds need to get things rolling and this deal certainly gets us some much needed stability. Markstrom will be our teams 5th goalie this year, we see huge possibilities in Markstrom, he will be a welcome addition to our locker room, Callie is a player we have been looking for since i took over the team back in December, Anisimov will be a huge addition as well. Dumoulin comes in to fill out on our back end.
we wish Gibby Patryn Fabbri all the best, Fabbri we just couldn't fit in to our lineup and he needs a fresh start, we loose three futures in this deal but with our draft picks being shipped out we are in a win now mode, we would like to thank JP for the trade talks and for having us over for lobster dinner while down in Sanjose this weekend.
