Ottawa receives prospect Rafael Harvey-Pinard if they are not successful with re-signing Patrice Bergeron to a contract during in-season negotiations - or if Bergeron retires in the 2022 offseason. If Bergeron does sign and does not retire, Ottawa does not receive the prospect AND sends OTT 4th 2023 to Nashville.

Ottawa was not successful at re-signing Bergeron in In-Season UFA talks. However...
This was a failure on my part for not recognizing it at the time (but still on the GM to know too) - Pinard was dealt at the 2022 trade deadline in a deal between NSH and SEA.
As that deal has been done for two months at this point, Pinard will remain in Seattle. After discussing it with the parties involved, the SJS 2nd 2022 will move to Ottawa to compensate them not getting Pinard. NSH has been fined $1 million for dealing an ineligible player, and I have fined myself since I should have seen that at the time (I've fined myself before for drafting the wrong player once, so there's precedent). The fines are done and will be reflected in the May 3rd sim update.
Finally, to help GMs with visibility, I will make manual notes on prospects involved in future considerations moving forward as the sim cannot do this itself.
